I just got back from the Hudson River Fellowship about a week ago. I had a great time. The people were all really nice and the landscape was amazing. I saw a black bear and her cubs, a baby moose, a hawk carrying a snake, and two beavers that came so close to me I don’t think they even noticed I was there. Landscape drawing is so different from studio work and I had a great time trying to figure it all out.
Here are a few landscape drawings from the three weeks that I was in New Hampshire plus a few portraits that I did of some of the other fellows. Each of the portraits was an hour to an hour and 20 minutes.
