3 hour figure study

I was finally able to attend the 3 hour figure drawing session again.  It was nice to get a longer pose in.  I have recently been attending a short pose session where the maximum pose is 20 minutes.  While those are fun and you do learn a lot about capturing the figure quickly and getting a strong gesture, I do miss the longer poses that really push you to get everything accurate.  I will post some of my shorter pose sketches soon.

Here is the 3 hour drawing from yesterday.  I feel pretty good about this one although I do think I may have exaggerated the length of her torso…. not sure it looks alien or not.  It is strange how one can often see error in other peoples’ work yet when faced with a glaring error in their own they become blind to it.  This may be just that sort of situation…..
